Killer Weekend

After playing Friday and Saturday, I was up a whopping $1,107 + rakeback and bonuses, for a red hot winrate of 14.91ptbb/100. That's by far the most in just two days of play so I was pretty happy to say the least.

On Sunday I decided to play just a few tourneys to avoid putting any sort of dampener on the cash game success. I played pretty well and had a couple decent cashes but where things really went well was the $20+2 heads-up shoot-out I decided to play on stars. The field started out with 217 people. With the top 32 making the money, that meant winning three consecutive matches just to cash.

I managed to do that, and then some. When it was all said and done, I finished 2nd for a very nice score of $651. It didn't even occur to me, as dupie later mentioned, to ask my final table opponent for a chop. It would have been a pretty smart thing to do, considering we were essentially playing a $500 match, with first place getting $1171. Oh well, live and learn. With that said, I did my best to win the match, but my opponent was a pretty good player and I came up short.

So all in all, I ended up winning somewhere around $1750 this weekend which is pretty awesome!
