Betting Scare Cards

Here's a hand I thought I played pretty well from an earlier session. The idea here is to realize that villain probably doesn't have a really drawy hand and to bet the scare cards that come.

Hand 1: 25NL
Seat #1 is the dealer
Seat 1 - FIRSTTIMER03 ($26.69 in chips) -- pretty tight player
Seat 3 - Hero ($92.33 in chips)
NARD157 - Posts small blind $0.10
Hero - Posts big blind $0.25
*** POCKET CARDS ***
Dealt to Hero [ ]
OSTER89 - Folds
AKHARPER24 - Folds
SCHNEIDER - Folds
FIRSTTIMER03 - Raises $1 to $1
NARD157 - Calls $0.90
Hero - Raises $3.75 to $4
FIRSTTIMER03 - Folds
NARD157 - Calls $3 -- thinking lots of midpairs, with some AKs and AQs maybe

Flop:
[ ]
NARD157 - Bets $2.25
Hero - Calls $2.25 -- we're not playing our ducks anymore, but rep'ing a drawing hand

Turn:
[ ] [ ]
NARD157 - Bets $1.75 -- very small bet, looks weak
Hero - Calls $1.75 -- call here is pretty strong I think; we don't want to raise our flush just yet

River:
[ ] [ ]
NARD157 - Bets $1.25 -- another weak bet
Hero - Raises $12 to $12 -- and we jump on it
NARD157 - Folds
Hero - returned ($10.75) : not called

The ace on the river is really meaningless. If he wants to call with AK/AQ then so be it, but it's a crying call and I think we get folds from those hands most of the time.
